Actually, this drive in was in Brownstown, not Woodhaven or Trenton. The Woodhaven border ends at the apartments, the Brownstown begins.

First of all this Drive-In was in Woodhaven and not Trenton. This Drive-in has given me many fond memories from the time I was a kid going there in my pajamas, with a pillow and blanket in tow with popcorn we made at home and put in brown paper bags to the shrimp rolls they sold at the concession stand! I remember seeing Jaws here as a kid and missing many movies on the screen as a teenager! Ahhh. whoever thought the 80's would be thought of as a simpler, more innocent time. ? I could use another Holiday.

The owners of the Holiday Drive In was a father and son. I don't remember the first name of the father but the son was Danny Bzovi. I believe their family was the original owners of the Harbor Theater in Ecorse and before that they owned the Ecorse Theater in the heart of town. I can remember Danny tearing my ticket in half as I was entering the Ecorse show on a Saterday afternoon when I was around twelve years old. I spent a lot of Saterday afternoons in that Theater.

It seems like a lot of people remember the Holiday Drive In and the Harbor Theater but I can't relieve that no one remembers the Ecorse Theater (aka The Cracker Box). Will some one please tell this old man that he is not hallucinating.

Henry Ford Hospital outpatient facility resides on the old Holiday D. I. grounds as of 6-1-05. The ramps are still there behind the facility but it is now a field of overgrown weeds.

My Big Brother used to work at this Drive-In when I was lad. He would load his 4 little brothers into the station wagon and take us into work w/ him. We loved this place because w/ access to 3 other nearby Drive-Ins this one came w/ giant size hard plastic animals to climb on in the front playground and even in the snack bar. And as far as snack bars go, exquisite!; doublesided, and we got to go behind the counter, did I mention we ate for free? Anyway, I could go on, I saw my first crying drunken teen at the age of 6 and tried to help her. My brother is friends w/ the owners children and might have a chance @ finding some pics.
