I worked at the Sky-Way Drive-In Theater from 1966 (age 12) through 1972 (age 18). I''m so glad to discover this site and see the pictures, regaining fond memories. Thank you!Patrick.

Went here a few times, both as a child and as a teen. I believe that it closed about 1983. I remember the last time I was there.
Some buddies and I watched the first of a double feature (forgot the name of the movie). The second movie was called Haunted Honeymoon and starred Gene Wilder and Gilda Radner. We left shortly after this boring movie began. When I was about 5 years old, I remember the playground, especially the merry-go-round (it was very fast).
Saw Macon County Line that evening. The food was always very good. I appreciate the photos on this site. Thank you.

In the early 80''s my brother used to baby sit for the family that lived in the living quarters at the base of the screen. Both parents worked in the drive in. I remember going with him a couple of times, it was fun watching the cars come and go.
