I can remember spending many a summer evening at the Auto Theater. It was about half way between Battle Creek and Marshall, where I and my siblings grew up in the 60s and 70s. We would pile into the station wagon with the fake wood panels on the sides in our pjs, take some pillows and blankets, and get there early. There was a little playground right under the screen to amuse us while the sun was still up and we always took advantage of it. In later years I was able to attend a few shows as an adult, I remember seeing the first Star Trek movie there.
So sad this and all the other drive in's are gone now, I will always remember the Auto Theater fondly.

This theatre is now a church and open lot. There is nothing left from the old times.
