This theater closed sometime in the 50s. It was a nice building in what was then a nice, but declining area of downtown Grand Rapids. The urban renewal people got not only this theater, but a landmark in Kutsche's Hardware next door.
7/9/2011 - James R Winslow
Was originally opened as the Orpheum Theatre, then changed to Vitaphone Movietone, and later the Kent Theatre. 322 Monroe Street. Butterfield Theatres. Demolished during urban renewal in the 1960s.
