This was one of only to theaters in Midland during the 70's and 80's as well as a drive in theater. I can remember waiting outside in the elements while standing in line. I lived close enough that I could ride my bike to the theater. Great pictures.

I was also a Manager the best job in the world. I still have dreams of all the fun times. I wish I could go back in time. United Artist should have never closed it I think the new district Mgr didn't look into the possibilities that were there. Now we have the Midland Cinemas.
Sigh!.

I also forgot to mention that the building is now a Secretary of State Branch office. I think also a doctor''s office too in the back, but not sure.

I believe this theater actually closed around 1993 or 1994 as I vividly recall seeing the movie Dennis the Menace there when I was in the 7th grade.
