The Ideal opened August 6th, 1930. It isnt overstating it to refer to it as an Art Deco masterpiece. It was likely the first north of Detroit built for showing sound pictures (via the Vitaphone!). It is a thing of beauty, and well worth visiting. It also was one of the first to feature stereophonic sound.

The Ideal Theatre was built in the early 1900s. Having the original, fully lighted marque gives the theatre a real touch of class. Seating is spacious, and our movies are always top-rated. Another sure thing is.......when you come to The Ideal Theatre, you will have the most appreciated popcorn experience ever.
