The Tari-Ho Drive-In goes back to 1955. By 1966 it was for sale and that was the last mention of it in the newspaper archives under that name. I assume it continued under a new name. As for the location, the address in the newspaper makes no sense given the description of where it was, that being on 223 at the north end of Devil's Lake.
A Facebook post indicated the Triangle Drive-In was across the street. The Triangle was incorporated in 1956 and was listed at 6387 US-223 which is now Woodstock Treasure Chest. I don't have a historical photo of the Triangle Drive-In but the building at the address looks original. So across the street from that is now Luigi's, at 6395 US-223.
IMO the newspaper ad mistakenly transposed the address and it was meant to be 6390. That would put it between Luigi's and what used to be Cove Bar and Grill next door. There is no building at 6390 so I will assume the old Tari-Ho is gone. Or, Luigi's is the building but it was added on to.
