Opened by Pacific Theatres on August 24, 1966 as the Mission Drive-In with Frank Sinatra in “Assault on a Queen” & Marty Allen in “The Last of the Secret Agents”. A second screen opened in 1969 and it was renamed Mission San Luis Rey Drive-In. Two more screens were added in 1978. It was renamed New Valley Drive-In in 1979 and later became the Valley Drive-In. It was closed as the Valley Drive-In East & West in 1999. One screen was demolished in July 2016, the remainder is intact and used as a swap meet.

The entire site was demolished in 2019 for future development. Nothing remains.
