The Albion Drive-In opened in May of 1950, operated by Albert Bohm. In the 1970’s the Albion Drive-In started showing adult movies. This movie policy continued right up to its closing in 1986. Car capacity is listed at 400.
The Rysers sold the Bohm Theatre and the Albion Drive-In in March, 1976 to Mid-State Theatres, Inc., an Okemos-based operation headed by Curtis Peterson. The Albion Drive-In became an "all-adult" establishment and fed its patrons from the Calhoun and Jackson county areas a steady diet of X-rated movies.
