The Mercury was built before 1960 and was demolished in the 2007-2008 time frame. The lot stands empty as of 2022, but it will be developed at some point as Dearborn is still a pretty vibrant town. Plans have been made but nothing has come to fruition yet.
I actually stayed here in the the early 2000's for 1 night and it wasn't too bad. You could see it was getting old but as I recall it was pretty clean and quiet. The joint never looked like a traditional motel from the street side, it almost resembled a downtown style car dealer. One notable news item was a beatnik guitarist and his gang robbed the place in April of 1960. See the article below.
