The Dearborn Motor Lodge goes back to 1959. The general manager was Richard D. McLain. It started with 54 rooms and the plan was to expand to 200 rooms. The architect was William E. Knapp. His goal was to go with a Georgian architecture similar to the Dearborn Inn. By the early 2000's, the motel was demolished and LaFontaine Honda is operating on that lot as of 2023.
