There was barber shop for sale in this motel in 1964 so I know it goes back at least that far. There was also a report of "indecent acts" in April of 1964 in reference to the motel which was known as the "Rio Motel" at the time. I will assume that was the original name. It became "troubled" beginning in the aughts and more recently with reports of crime and other issues. It was demolished in 2024 to make way for a dispensary business.
