This 33-unit motel goes back to 1964 at least and probably well before that. It came up for sale in 1964. It was operated by Alice and Eugene Welch in the early days. They had the dock right across the street also. Some of it seems to show up on the 2008 street view, in particular the sign was there. I don't believe it was known under the Welch's Motel name by then as I found nothing on it from that time frame. All traces have since been demolished.
