I was the opening General Manager there at a ripe old age of 28 moving there from the Southland 4. I remained until 99 when I knew it's days were numbered due to the Forum 30 and moved back to where I started at in Okemos. This place was my baby and I have so many fond memories that make me really want to be back in the biz.

Would love to see before/after photos. Sad to hear it was trashed. I always wondered what condition it was left in.
3/25/2011 - Kris Burl
the old Sterling Center10 is now home to heritage church in which im a member of. We moved in after renovating the building. It was trashed inside. I can get you some before and after pictures if you would like.

THis location was a casualty of the opening of the AMC Forum 30 on Mound@Hall Rds. AMC ran it as a 2nd run theatre during the summer of 2000, but closed the location shortly thereafter. With 10 screens, this theatre is largely responsible for driving Movies at Lakeside out of business and served as the prime movie location for this fast growing corner of Macomb County throughout the 1990s.
