General Information:

When the now-vacant Fort Saginaw Mall opened in 1966, it had a 900-seat, one-screen movie theatre in it. The theater closed in 1976 when the manager was murdered. The old theatre was later cut up into other stores before the mall closed up in the 1990s.

Info Updates:

The theatre did close in 1976 but re-opened in 1979 with the premiere of Star Trek - The Motion Picture (Volume I). This was a short lived rennaissance given a very big bet on a very bad movie.

Did a little more research here -- the theatres opened in 1967 and closed in 1976. It seems that the old theatre was turned into a store called Prime Time before the mall closed in the mid 1990s.
