This theater goes back to the early 1900's as the Daisy. The name was changed to the Lyric in 1911 as the articles below indicate. This gets confusing because there was a Lyric in Gladstone that also advertised in the Escanaba Press. The best way to tell is the Lyric in Gladstone info comes from the 1920's which appears to be after the Lyric in Escanaba closed. The closing article also mentions it operating as the Majestic. I am using the address from a classified ad which listed the theater for sale. It was across the street from the better-known Delft if indeed that address is correct.
