Update 6/22/2025 from Lee Schoonmaker:
I lived there from 1943 to 1947. My dad Ray Schoonmaker ran the bar below the dance floor. Bert Schoonmaker was my dad's brother. My mother was a waitress in the dining room. Great summers & cold winters. I was spoiled because I had the run of place. Wonderful memories
This awesome American Plan hotel and dance hall was right on Clark's Lake. There was also dining and many other activities available per the ad below. Clark Lake had 3 dance pavilions, Eagle Point, Pleasant View, and Ocean Beach. I have some articles posted below regarding those. I think I located the Pleasant View on the 1956 aerial photo which would put it roughly at the address I used. The hotel and pavilion are long gone, although the pavilion stood until the 1980s if I have the address right.
