From Water Winter Wonderland
There were 2 West Branch Speedways and they weren't that far from one another. This entry documents the one that was near Rau Rd and I-75. The outline of the track can be seen (just barely) near the rest stop on I-75 north. The other was on S M-76 just south of Airport Rd. There is a place called Michigan Bark Products which now occupies that lot. I have put together an aerial photo analysis that can be viewed below showing the locations of the 2 tracks. Hopefully the folks who submitted information are referring to the proper track.

The old track is owned by Al and Bill Cascadden, original family members. Al has recently built an old "hot rod" and plans on working the old track up to run a few laps. The track is a bit overgrown but the banked turns can still be seen from the West Branch rest area on I-75 south of Rau Rd. We have some old pics and newspaper clippings but would like to hear from anyone with any other information or stories. thanks
