This old restaurant and lodge goes back to the 1930's and was run by Frank G Martin back then. I am not sure of the address but I will assume it was Houghton Lake Drive as the Houghton Lake Heights business strip was there. It was owned by Ted and Stella Gadawski. Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Young also ran it who sold it to the Fraternal Order of Eagles in 1969. Eventually the Eagles moved to a newer building on Crestview. According to the book Houghton Lake by Deborah Gouin, the structure was razed in the 1990's.
