The Four Leaf Clover goes back to 1949 or so. The Rhoades family from Detroit took control in 1953, supposedly. I say supposedly because a different article states the Ellsworth family built the motel sometime after 1949 and operated it until 1973. I will assume the Ellsworth's built it, sold it to the Rhoades family, but stayed on to run it for them. There was a UFO siting near the place in 1966. Mr. John Poth took the place over in 1974.
Fast forward to 1976 when 2 teen fugitives on the lamb (for a murder they allegedly had committed in Brighton New York) were found near the motel. That article was helpful in that it contained a nice BW photo of the place. In 1982, the Dunham family of Jackson took over the motel. Their plan was to convert at least some of it to apartments which it is today, operating as Tekonsha Apartments.
