This motel was built between 1951 and 1957. It was at the corner of S Lotz Rd and Michigan Ave. It was demolished by 1983 (or so) to make way for what is now a Shell gas station as of 2022. It was up for sale in 1957 which is something I am finding was very common. The folks who build these places were putting them up for sale fairly quickly after opening. I think the lodging business has always been a tough one.
