I would estimate this place goes back to the 1960's or before. It was not on the 1952 historical aerial photo. The building is still standing but it is listed as being closed permanently by Google Maps as of 2023. The address was listed as 23890 Old US Hwy 2 E, but a more accurate location would be the Krist Food Mart and Gas Station which sits adjacent.
It was once operated by Frank and Louis Basso. I found an ad from 1975 indicating it was 16 units and it was for sale for $125K. In 1995, the place was hit by a drunk driver so it was open then. There was another motel in town called the Twilight that tragically burned in January 1965, killing the couple who owned it. Very sad. There was also the Pine Aire, the Riverside Inn, and Greenwood Cabins. I will try to locate those as well.
