I would estimate this motel was built in the 1960's but the structure on the left goes back before that. The larger structure on the right was a motel and the one next door to the left was a store or lodge of some kind. It appears they had been closed for many years before being demolished within the last couple of years (as of 2023).
In regard to the name, I found a 2018 mention in the newspaper archives for the "Veery Point Hotel". Zooming in on the sign from the 1989 photo, it does say "Motel". I also found a real estate listing for a house across the street that indicated it was across from "Veery Point Lodge". The definitive answer came from an obscure report on the drinking water in the area and it stated 3389 N Straits Hwy was "Veery Point Lodge". Case closed.
I am a little sad the place is gone, it would have been cool to walk through it and get some good photos.
