J.C. Caldwell opened his eponymous theatre on November 27, 1913. A fire in 1923 caused significant damage. The theatre recovered and by 1941 it was operated by Butterfield Michigan Theaters Co. It operated until 1955. It was demolished in May 1960. [Cinema Treasures]
