As far back as I can remember this was never a movie theater. It was a place for stage performances for area actors. I remember being about 10 and calling theaters to see what was on. I called them and they said they weren't that type of theater. That was around 1959. As far I know they still have performances there. Many a young actor learned their trade at this theater.
