I went to Fenton's, Silver Lake Drive-In, from early 60s to 1982 My Mom use to make our Hamburgers with cheese, at home and wrap them in aluminum foil, popped popcorn for us, and make 3 big pickle jars of grape, cherry & orange Kool-Aid We didn't have the spare money for concessions and Mom made the best cheeseburgers ever My Mom, Aunt Nettie, my sister Brenda and myself would watch the movies from the back of a pickup truck Over the years, I took a couple girlfriends It was some of my best memories I was sad when the drive-in was torn down I really liked the Yohoo chocolate drink and their big pickles.

Ticket price was 70 cents per person. On September 13 1987 the last movie was played,it was Cant Buy Me Love with Adventures In Babysitting.

Ticket price was 3. 50 per person.

Colorful spotlights at the foot of the movie screen (the side facing the road) were brightly lit every night and were a favorite sight for me to see as a child when we were traveling Silver Lake Road. Green and pinkish-red lights, there may have been others, but those ones stand out in my memory.

The silver drive-in last year of operation was 1987 not 1986. The entrance to the apartment complex was the exit lanes of the drive-in,and the concession building is now part of the office/clubhouse.
