This place started out as the Harbor Bar in Aug of 1940. It was located at the foot of Fairview St right on the Detroit River. It was built on a dock jutting out into the river. Leo Adler renamed it to the Harbor Inn by 1959. It was known to have live entertainment, I am thinking mostly jazz players. Some of the same acts were playing places like the renowned Flame Show Bar. The slogan was once "A rendezvous with a yacht club atmosphere". The place was constructed similar to a double-decked river boat. By 1983 the dock and structure were gone. I am using an approximate address on the water.
