I have searched all along the stretch of road where this motel would have been and there are a few possibilities. As in, similar motels operating in 2022 that could be a later incarnation of this place. None of them look exactly like this postcard however, so I will reserve judgment until I can get more information. Putting addresses on post cards was not done often in the 1950's and 1960's. It was just assumed you would find a place by showing up in town. In any case, this place was probably opened in the 50's. It was owned and operated by the Kuhlman family.
Update Aug 7 2023 from Eric J Halitsky:
It''s still there. Just south of the Catholic Shrine on old 27, and directly across from Burt lake marina. I believe it's used as efficiency apartments now. My parents used to stay there in the 60's for deer hunting, vacation etc. I was only about 7 or 8 when I stayed there, I'm 62 now. Mr. And Mrs. Kuhlman where very nice people. My parents eventually bought a place in Indian river. I have very fond memories of staying at the Caravan.
