This 14 unit motel was operated by Mary and Jack Baker. It sat on a stretch of road in which there were numerous motels. Most of them are long gone. This motel goes back to at least 1961 as I found ONE mention of it in the newspaper archives. It is evident from the 2 postcards this place was remodeled somewhat. One of the versions had a nice illuminated sign on the roof. The other had a railing all around the top.
This motel was also known as Cason's Triangle Motel. I am not sure if they were the first owners or not. Another post card also indicated it was run by Jack and Kae Lund. Again, not sure of the time frame. Jack Lund once resided at 701 McClellan which is now Assembly of God Church. In addition, I found a Cason also lived at 701. Both families owned this place so that can't be a coincidence. There was a different structure on that lot prior to the 1980's so that was probably this motel or the living quarters for it.
