I saw this old building on Google Street View while researching something else and Bizapedia indicates that address was a motel operated by Vernon Barkley. It stands empty as of 2024. I think it was a restaurant when it was last open a few years back. I found an ad for Country Patch Bed & Breakfast at this address from 1988.
Its a bit of an odd configuration for a motel but the side of the building seems to reveal it had multiple doors along there which would indicate multiple rooms. There was once 3 buildings next to this one, which may or may not have been part of the motel business. The 3 driveway aprons for those buildings are still present. This old place sits a few doors down from the Vindel Motel and the Trails End Inn. There is also what appears to be an old motel building across the street on Marest St.
