This theater, which opened in the late-1930’s, was destroyed in a fire in 1988 along with a bowling alley next-door.

Whyte Theatre burnt to the ground in the late 80s. Also lost in the fire was the bowling alley next door. The last films to play at the Whyte were Pee Wees Big Top and Bambi.

This attractive old downtowner seems to date back to the 1940's. It has since gone dark like so many other theatres of this genre.
