AKA Kingswood Will-O-Way
This theater opened in 1970. I found a fantastic grand opening ad that actually shows a photo of the place which is great. The 1973 aerial photo reveals the plaza was added on to since that time. So, that would change the perspective of how things looked between the 70's and now.
There is a Staples at one end of the plaza that looks alot like what the old Kingswood did, however the positioning is wrong as compared to the older photo. It is also a single-story structure more or less. Looking at the other side of the plaza and lopping off where the Jet's Pizza is, gets you what it looked like in 1973. There was a section added on over the years. Looking behind the building indicates the section starting with the Kumon store in the street view photo has a higher ceiling which would account for where the auditoriums were.
There is a larger medical building closer to the road that was a possibility but I ruled it out due to being too high and too large. The structure doesn't seem to be the same. The other complication is the address scheme has changed completely. The address of 2000 Woodward is no longer relevant to this area. I will stick by this assessment until I find out differently.
Articles I found indicate it also showed live entertainment in the later 1970's with appearances from celebrities of the time like Joan Bennett. Eventually the place closed completely after using the the Kingswood Will-O-Way name for a while.
