This theater was was operating as early as 1977 as "Chesterfield Mall Cinemas". It changed hands in 1978 per the ad below. By 1979, it was operating as "Chesterfield Cinemas". In 1989, it was "Chesterfield Cinema 3". By 2000, it was known as "Premier Cinemas". It eventually closed in the early to mid 2000's, probably because it couldn't compete with MJR Chesterfield Crossing Cinema 12 (later 16) which opened in 1995. It was showing movies when I took some photos in 2002 although I don't see listings in the paper for them. It was converted to a bowling alley after operating as both for a while.
