The Sunset goes back to the 1960's or before. It had a fairly large enclosed pool and offered it for use to the local community year-round. It was operated by Mildred and Brice Bennett who hailed from Ann Arbor MI. It was also operated by Mr. and Mrs. A. S. Miles. In 1971 the motel was sold to Grassman Enterprises which was run by Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Grassman. I found an old business listing on Bing.com indicating this motel was at 4300 Monroe but actually it was at 6465 N Oceana.
