This motel was 1 mile west of the Mystery Spot attraction. Based on aerial photography and the style of the building, I would say it was built in the late 50's or early 60's. It was operated by Gene Kent who I believe resided in Brevort or Moran. The motel was for sale in 1960/1961 so maybe there was another owner after that.
I have located a stretch of US-2 that was probably where this motel was. The trees and terrain look right. So, as of now, my best guess on the street address is 1724 or 1726 US-2. The 1981 aerial photo does show a building on that lot that looks close. If I have that right then this place was fairly short-lived. It was gone by 1987 and is now an empty lot.
