I would say this motel goes back to the 1950's. It is not operating under this name anymore although there are numerous small motels and cabin operations along the stretch of road this motel was on. It is said to be 11 miles North of East Tawas and 3 miles South of Oscoda. I took a look at the places still going on street view and I see no obvious match between the old postcards and what is standing now. When I get the address I will update this listing.
One of the postcards indicates this place was a "Nimrod's Mecca". I assume they are referring to the Biblical figure meaning "mighty hunter" instead of the modern meaning of "a foolish or stupid person" LOL. I am sure either one would have enjoyed the joint. Now if I could only get an address for it.
