Update 10/10/2024: It seems the opera house was open even in the 1880's.

This building opened in 1894 (yes, 1894), and burned down in July 1911. (Actually, most of the towns of Oscoda and AuSable burned down in 1911.) Sometime around the 1950s, a fire station was built on the site, and that fire station stands to this day.
