Plumb's was a small chain of supermarkets in Western Michigan. I am focusing on Ludington here but there were more branches. The firm hearkens all the back to G. A. Plumb and the Wolverine Spice Co of 1871. He eventually went out on his own and established the Plumb chain, opening his first outlet in Grand Rapids in 1932. Plumb's was a family run operation as his children became involved. Bonser's took over some stores in the 1970's. Eventually the chain was taken over by Roger L. Eikenberry. Eventually the chain folded I assume due to the massive competition in retail food space.
