This theater goes back to at least 1908. As the entry below indicates, the original owner sold the business to his assistant in May of 1913. Also in 1913 an E.A. Furman ran an ad promising to run the theater much as before. There is not much else to go on after that. The newspapers indicate a flower shop moved into the "former" Maple City Theater building in 1917. This was mentioned in a retrospective article in 1927.
The address is confusing because the article about the flower shop moving in indicates the address as 137 South Main. Cinema Treasures has it listed as 31 S. Main which no longer exists. The 1927 article does mention some address renumbering going on so that could explain it.
I lined up several old post cards with the current street views and I think I have the basic location figured out. The Maple City was adjacent to "The Emporium" in the old days. The Emporium seemed to be 1 building from the distinctive corner building. Counting the storefronts from the corner gets me to what is now 145 S. Main. It seems as of 2020 it is a novelty shop.
