Warren's was owned and operated by Mr. and Mrs. Warren Pruin, it opened in 1946 according to a 1961 article in the Lansing State Journal. The latest classified ads I saw for that name were in 1969 but that doesn't mean it wasn't open beyond that. The building stood until sometime after 2011. It was operating under the name Velocipede Peddler at that end. That was a long-running bike shop that moved to a strip center and eventually closed for good. I have included an article on that place as it seems noteworthy. Meaning of velocipede from Wikipedia: "A velocipede (/vəˈlɒsəpiːd/) is a human-powered land vehicle with one or more wheels. The most common type of velocipede today is the bicycle." I was wondering about it too. The owner said most customers had no idea what it was LOL.
