This Pasty Shop was a frequent stop for folks going up to the UP. The shop was run by Bill Ogle for 40 years. He also operated the Seafood Palace and Beef House down the road. It seems the Pasty shop closed in the late 1990's or early 2000's.
Buy yourself a career! Just 7 miles west of the famous Big Mac Bridge is this once popular Paul Bunyan Pasty Shop. The original site of the worlds largest Pasty where people gathered annually to watch the worlds largest pasty being made. The front restaurant area will seat up to 50 patrons who want to savor the delectable U.P. famous hot meal right away. Located in a beautiful bay area with some shelter from the Lake Michigan storms, this is a beautiful area where from just across the road, you can witness the permanent Osprey nest that rests high above the refuge and Federal land area.
