It looks like the Maple Leaf goes back to the 50's or 60's. It was once operated by Brian Farrel in the 80's. I found an article in which he states changing his wooden sign to neon helped his business greatly. The Villa Moderne across the street has a great neon sign to this day. As of 2023, Google is listing the Maple Leaf as closed but it still stands as far as I know.
