Pinebrook Swim Club was in my old neighborhood in Southfield. It was considered a fairly high end club at the time. If you knew a member, they could bring you in as a guest. Or, you could do what my friends and I did which was sneak in. Sometimes we would hop the fence in the middle of the night and jump off the high dive. There was something exhilarating about jumping into water you couldn't quite see.
The club was established in 1965. Kenneth J Law was one of the founding members. He passed away in 2017. The club itself seemed to have closed sometime around 1985. The land the club occupied is a parking lot as of 2022. The only photos I found so far were personal in nature so I didn't think it was right to use them. I will find some good ones eventually.
