General Information:

This theater was planned to be built for $1 million dollars (various estimates on this) on the east side of Woodward between Watson and Erskine according to the article I found. The architect was the renowned C. Howard Crane. I am not sure if this project ever came to fruition. It seems the Allen Theater Circuit out of Toronto had major financial problems within a short time of this being announced. There was a building on that block that was torn down to make way for condos (The Scott) and there is also the Bakersfield Bldg next door to that which kinda-sorta resembles the rendering in the article. More research is needed. An interesting entry just the same.
