Designed by Christian W. Brandt, the Times-Square, near downtown Detroit, sat around 1000. It was closed in 1958 and has since been razed.

Marc 1959 Issue - Ted Rose, who has taken over the downtown Times Square Theatre operated by Fred Lokar, is managing the house himself and handling his own bookings. Rose was formerly in about every post "in the front of the house" under the late David King at the National, with Wisper and Wetsman and Detroit Theatre Enterprises. He was recently manager of the East Side Theatre for Dave Korman before going into business for himself. George Diffourc and John C. Woodfin remain in the booth under the new policy of 2 p.m. - 2 a.m. operation.

June 1959 - Ray Cloud, 25-year Columbia salesman, reported two Detroit houses closing, the downtown Times Square operated by Ted Rose and the Lakewood, operated by Leonard and Bernard Brooks of the Affilliated circuit.
